November 16, 2008

Whooh! It's getting cold! We've had some cold rain, cold days and cold frost on our windows!!

Bob worked every day, but Tuesday. He spent all of his spare time (what little there was) writing an Economics paper and working on another class. Yes, you heard me right. 2 college classes and a full time job! That's my man!

For Young Women's this week we cleaned the Nursery and watched Biggest Loser here at the house. I also went to the USO themed Stake Dance on Saturday night, which turned out pretty successfully. The Youth gathered donations that they packed and are going to ship to some troops in Iraq. They had fun big band music and Nicholas even slept for a while.

On Wednesday we had a Home, Family and Personal Enrichment Meeting about 72 hour kits. It was pretty fun. I made up a game to let them see that if they don't get their kits together now, while all is calm that they won't have time to get the things they need together. It was a good lesson, I think. Do you have your 72 hour kit ready??

Today was our big Primary Sacrament Meeting Presentation. It went REALLY well!! Autumn was shy at first, but still remembered and spoke her lines (even if her head was down and all we could see was her blond hair). When we got to her last few turns to say her lines she was looking up and looking happier. Jesse took over several extra lines spur of the moment and did really great reading those. Elizabeth also took on a few extra lines and sang a solo with Angie Barton from our Branch. She sang "When Jesus Christ was Baptized" and she sang SO good! Alexa had quite a few lines (we did a skit and she was the non-member guest) and she sang "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" with Janie Barton. Even Jason had a part. His Dad had to carry his limp little body up there, but he said most of his line "Jesus is our Savior"!!! Jennifer was so great to come and see her nieces and nephews do their program. They had a little party afterward with cookies and punch. It's so fun to be in a small Branch sometimes!!! Our Primary today consisted of 5 Pitmans and 2 Barton girls.

Alexa and I went scrapbooking together on Friday after her Speech Party. She couldn't "run with the Big Dog" (that is, staying up late) so we left by 10pm. Alexa also went to Biz Town on Thursday, but I'll let her tell you all about that too.
Jesse went skating with the Scouts and his friend, Spencer Price, on Tuesday night and to Elliot Moore's birthday swimming/pizza party on Saturday. Then to Spencer's house for the evening to set up a Christmas train.
Jason is trying on one of the costumes Bob picked up for $1 at Walmart. He's an adorable bug with white mittens!
Nicholas at 13 Weeks old. I haven't gotten him weighed yet, but I was going to try and do that tomorrow. His head seems bigger than it actually is, but he IS actually that CUTE!!! He's controlling his hands so much more and is grabbing his other hand/arm and is also petting me while he eats.
