Happy Halloween

Halloween just kept coming this year. First we went to Aunt Kathy and G-ma Pitman's house for a Halloween party. That was fun except for all the mosquitos. We cooked hot dogs and Jason and Autumn ate LOTS of chips!

Then the Saturday before Halloween, we got to go trick or treating at our downtown businesses and local library. We were in the "haunted house" of a boutique store. It said "kid friendly", but the little ones still found it a little scary. We went to Subway for lunch and fed us all for $5. Then onto the free movie offered by our local movie theater.

After that we went out to my sister Jennifer's place for another party!! We had a big bonfire and apple bobbing. She also had a "what witches are made of" feely box set up in the bathroom with candlelight and everything. They creeped everyone out, but they really got Alexa. She was totally crying. I'm not sure whether it was more from being scared or laughing that she got so scared!!!
Jason also ate at least 5 cupcakes and LOTS more chips!
Jennifer was immitating the pregnant Tiffany (I agreed with Tiffany, that she would have to put a very large watermelon in her overalls rather than a plastic bag!!!)
Dad got in on the fun to with the apple bobbing. Elizabeth takes after Jennifer with the big mouth and was very successful. Autumn tried for over 1/2 hour and finally got one!

Then the day before Halloween we went to our local hospital and went trick or treating. A bunch of Alexa's friends in the "Builder's Club" were helping pass out candy. She felt a little bad about taking candy. I offered to take her candy for her so she wouldn't have to feel bad, but she didn't feel THAT bad!! Bob finally got to join us for this outing.
Then on Halloween Kaleb and Samantha joined us for Trick or Treating around our neighborhood. Then we went to a cookout at our friends, the Kirkhams, house. We didn't stay long. Jason decided to be his willful self around a fire and train tracks, so we had to leave after an hour.
The blood sugar levels in this house have skyrocketed in the past week!! The costumes also changed slightly every time. Alexa was a punk rocker, then a pirate. Jesse was a Pokemon trainer then he was a creepy guy. Elizabeth was a pirate, then a ballerina princess. Autumn was Stephanie from "Lazy Town", a horse, then a pirate (when we were trick or treating on Halloween we had only gone a few blocks when she asked "How many days are we going to trick or treat???"). Jason was a life guard and a puppy and a lion!! I'm guessing he's eaten the most candy of all of us!!
We went trick or treating with Elizabeth and Jesse's friends, twins, Clay and Faith.
Alexa stayed and passed out candy, but when we returned she dressed up and went around by herself.
